Kylie Kelce, wife of retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, outlined "dos and don'ts" for conversations with postpartum women on a recent episode of her podcast "Not Gonna Lie."
The couple has three daughters: Wyatt Elizabeth, born October 23, 2019; Elliotte Ray, born March 20, 2021; and Bennett Llewellyn, born February 2023.[1][2] Kelce has previously discussed experiencing a miscarriage.[3]
"Don't ask her if she's back to her pre-baby weight yet. Better yet, don't ask her about her weight at all," Kelce said.
She added: "Pre-baby weight Kylie? Pre-baby Kylie? Pre-baby body of Kylie? I don't know her. She doesn't live here. My body built a whole a-- human being."
Kelce advised asking postpartum women how they feel, but cautioned against questions about future children. "Don't you dare ask if we're going to give it one more try for a boy," she said. "You are looking at a woman who has had four children in what was it, six years?"
On child development milestones, Kelce said: "If you are still losing sleep or letting milestones of children rule your thoughts, I'ma need you to cut that out immediately. ... Four children later, ... they're all different."
She noted one daughter was an early talker while another began speaking around 18 months old.
Jason Kelce played 13 seasons with the Eagles from 2011 to 2023, winning Super Bowl LII and earning six first-team All-Pro selections.[4]
